Who invented the lift?

In 1845, the first hydraulic elevator was born. The liquid used at that time was water. In 1853, Elisha Otis, an American, invented an automatic safety device, which greatly improved the safety of the cable-towed elevator.
On March 23, 1857, the first passenger lift using the Otis safety device was installed in a five-storey shop in New York, USA. Since then, the use of lifts has been widely accepted and developed rapidly. The original elevator was driven by a steam engine, so the building must be equipped with a boiler room.
In 1880, German Siemens invented the elevator using electric power, from which the real "elevator" officially appeared. Since then, the use of lifts has been widely accepted and developed rapidly.
